BAD PRESIDENT
So, Here’s What President Trump Has on His Schedule for Today: Nothing.
The President’s daily schedule is an official White House document that details the president’s public activities: national intelligence briefings, cabinet meetings, lunches with administration officials, speeches, ceremonial duties, state dinners, press conferences, travel, and so on.
Technically titled, “Daily Guidance and Press Schedule,” it includes anything that is not of a confidential nature that the administration does not believe the public has a right to know about or, for national security, should be told about. The events do not have to be open to the press or the public to appear on the president’s daily schedule.
The White House Office of the Press Secretary releases the President’s Daily Schedule the night before, so Thursday’s schedule is published Wednesday evening.
For example, here’s the President’s schedule for Friday, December 21 (courtesy of Gizmodo Media Group’s Kinja Public Press Pool reports):
It included several bill signing ceremonies, nothing more.
It is also the last day, for 12 days, the White House even released a schedule for the president.
The press office resumed posting President Trump’s schedule Tuesday night, for Wednesday.
Here’s the President’s schedule for today, Thursday:
Now, on rare occasions, an empty schedule could mean a surprise visit to an active military zone, like Afghanistan.
We’ll see if President Trump does that today.
Americans should also be aware that the President has not had daily national intelligence briefings, at least on his schedule, since April 5, 2018. The “daily intelligence briefing” became an irregular “intelligence briefing” after that. The White House has not listed an intelligence briefing for President Trump since December 19.

President Trump was scheduled to receive an intelligence briefing four times in December. There is no way to determine if he did, in fact, receive them.
He was also slated to receive just four intelligence briefings in November, 10 in October, eight in September, and eight in August.
FactBase, which say it tracks “every word” from President Trump, last week released this stunning analysis of how little President Trump actually works. It says President Trump “has the latest start for any President since 1933, and the shortest office time.”
For 2018, @realDonaldTrump has his first meeting, on average, at 11:18 am. #Trump has the latest start for any President since 1933, and the shortest office time. Analysis, cohort, and shared data: https://t.co/gKKMQCmScd
