Gay Cupcake Wars
I was watching TV with my better half a few days ago when we came upon The Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars.” Needless to say, I was unimpressed. (Where were the Democrats? Who was Republican? How does this help move forward our civil rights? Obviously, I’m not easy to live with.)
But this morning I read about a local Indianapolis bakery which is refusing to make rainbow cupcakes.
Not kidding here. Watch this video from FOX59 TV, which says the bakery, “Just Cookies,” refused to take an order for rainbow cupcakes — an order specifically for National Coming Out Day. (Speaking of “National Coming Out Day,” have you read, “October: National Coming Out Month At The New Civil Rights Movement” and sent in your story yet?)
The owner said, “We’re a family-run business. We have two impressionable daughters. It would be best not to do that. We have our values.”
Yeah, well so do we. And I think ours are more human, and more “valuable.”
