‘Goddamnit’: Listen as Trump Feigns Total Surprise When Omarosa Says Kelly Is Firing Her

Published

on

The man who came to international fame for saying, “You’re fired!” hasn’t been able to accomplish that task as the most powerful person in the world.

Monday morning NBC News aired audio provided by Omarosa Manigault-Newman of a telephone call between her and President Donald Trump, the day after White House Chief of Staff John Kelly fired her in 2017.

“Omarosa? Omarosa what’s going on? I just saw on the news that you’re thinking about leaving? What happened?” Trump says in the recording.

“General Kelly—General Kelly came to me and said that you guys wanted me to leave,” Omarosa replies.

“No…I, I, Nobody even told me about it,” Trump claims.

“Wow,” Omarosa, aware she is recording the conversation, says.

“You know they run a big operation, but I didn’t know it,” Trump continues, claiming he was unaware of her firing. “I didn’t know that. Goddamn it. I don’t love you leaving at all.”

Newman seems to have accepted Trump’s claim that he was unaware of her firing, ignoring the fact that he could just tell Kelly to rescind the decision.

“He doesn’t even know what’s happening in his White House,” Newman told NBC News. “He’s being puppeted.”

Trump Brags Don Jr’s Book ‘Is Number One on NY Times Bestseller List’ – but His Campaign Bought the Book in Bulk: Report

Published

President Donald Trump has called The New York Times “fake news,” “biased,” “inaccurate,” and “a Fraud” with “Zero Credibility.”

But Wednesday night he was only too happy to cite the “failing” paper of record to brag that Donald Trump, Jr.’s new book, “Triggered,”  is at the top of the Times’ charts.

And while that may be true, there’s one large caveat that totally destroys the Trump family’s pride.

As this graphic shows, there’s a “dagger” next to Trump Jr.’s book: †.

As the Times notes, “bulk purchases appear with a dagger (†).”

That means there have been large “Institutional, special interest, group or bulk purchases” of the book, perhaps in this case by the RNC or other political entities, like the Trump campaign.

In fact, Popular Information and ThinkProgress founder Judd Legum last week reported the Trump campaign is “using campaign funds to bulk purchase his son’s book.”

Here’s the reported text of a Trump fundraising email from the Twitter account Trump Fundraising Emails:

The email is signed by Donald Trump, Jr.

Here’s how some are responding:

Pence: China Is Trying to Kick Trump Out of the White House

Published

Vice President Mike Pence delivered a startling attack against China Thursday morning, claiming Beijing is trying to remove President Donald Trump.

“China wants a different American president,” Pence told attendees at a right wing think tank tied to the military, the Hudson Institute, according to prepared remarks received by NCRM. He accuses Beijing of working to “influence American public opinion.”

“The Chinese Communist Party is rewarding or coercing American businesses, movie studios, universities, think tanks, scholars, journalists, and local, state, and federal officials,” Pence charges.

“Worst of all, China has initiated an unprecedented effort to influence American public opinion, the 2018 elections, and the environment leading into the 2020 presidential elections,” the Vice President warns, while ignoring the threat Russia poses.

The Vice President is trying to convince the American people that China, not Russia, is undermining American democracy.

“Beijing has mobilized covert actors, front groups, and propaganda outlets to shift Americans’ perception of Chinese policies,” Pence continues. “As a senior career member of our intelligence community recently told me, what the Russians are doing pales in comparison to what China is doing across this country.”

Politico notes that President Trump made a similar charge last week.

“Regrettably, we found that China has been attempting to interfere in our upcoming 2018 election,” Trump said. “They do not want me, or us, to win because I am the first president ever to challenge China on trade.”

The Washington Post’s David Nakamura offers insight into the Trump administration’s hypocrisy and possibly its motivation.

‘Good Thing Jared’s Working on Prison Reform’: Internet Scorches Trump for Comparing FBI to Nazi Stormtroopers

Published

on

President Donald Trump spent the weekend away from the White House, the First Lady, and their son, fleeing to Camp David for a rare sojourn with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner. But based on the volume of tweets from the ever-increasingly paranoid president this weekend it’s clear the federal mountain retreat in Maryland did not live up to its reputation of having a restorative effect.

Sunday afternoon President Trump posted an insane tweet comparing the FBI agents investigating him, members of his administration, transition team, and campaign, to Nazi Stormtroopers.

The president appeared to be referring to a Sunday morning interview with Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo and political strategist Mark Penn.

Many on social media were taken aback, saying even for this president the hyperbole was extreme and unacceptable. Others just rightly mocked Trump.
