Trump Praises Legal Team, Attacks Clinton, DNC and Democrats for Collusion
“VERY Happy with my Lawyersâ€
Donald Trump returned to Twitter early Sunday to praise his legal team and to attack The New York Times, Hillary Clinton, the DNC and Democrats.
“The Failing New York Times purposely wrote a false story stating that I am unhappy with my legal team on the Russia case and am going to add another lawyer to help out,†the president began. “Wrong. I am VERY happy with my lawyers, John Dowd, Ty Cobb and Jay Sekulow. They are doing a great job and…..â€

“…have shown conclusively that there was no Collusion with Russia..just excuse for losing. The only Collusion was that done by the DNC, the Democrats and Crooked Hillary,†he continued nine minutes later. “The writer of the story, Maggie Haberman, a Hillary flunky, knows nothing about me and is not given access.â€

The attack was prompted by a Saturday report in the Times which detailed that the president had sought the services of an impeachment attorney to assist him with his defense against special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.
As the Times reported:
President Trump is in discussions with a veteran Washington lawyer who represented Bill Clinton during the impeachment process about joining the White House to help deal with the special counsel inquiry, according to four people familiar with the matter.
The lawyer, Emmet T. Flood, met with Mr. Trump in the Oval Office this past week to discuss the possibility, according to the people. No final decision has been made, according to two of the people.
Should Mr. Flood come on board, the two people said, his main duties would be a day-to-day role helping the president navigate his dealings with the Justice Department.
Maggie Haberman responded via Twitter, noting that “several people close to Trump confirmed our story.â€
Several people close to Trump confirmed our story. Trump also met with Emmet Flood in the Oval last week for purpose of potentially hiring him. Our story was confirmed by other outlets. https://t.co/UmnZMLogAf

As she also pointed out, the lashing out may indicate that Flood wasn’t interested:
….which raises possibility Flood has turned him down https://t.co/UmnZMLogAf
