LOOK – Tom Price’s Resignation Letter: ‘I Regret’ the ‘Distraction’
‘I Regret That the Recent Events Have Created a Distraction’
President Trump late Friday afternoon accepted Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price‘s letter of resignation, which was submitted earlier today, the White House says. In the letter Price says “I regret that the recent events have created a distraction” from the “important objectives” like repealing ObamaCare.
Those events, of course, are the $1 million in private chartered and military plane flights Price took in a very short period of time, when he could easily have flown commercially at a small fraction of the cost to taxpayers.
Just before 4PM Trump told reporters he was deliberating what to do with Price. Literally minutes later news broke Price was out.
