WATCH LIVE NOW: House Budget Committee Votes on TrumpCare
Will Republicans Show a Backbone?
The U.S. House Committee on the Budget will meet at 10 AM EDT Thursday morning to debate and vote on TrumpCare, the Republican plan to repeal and “replace” ObamaCare. There is widespread bipartisan distaste for the legislation, and shockingly, there’s a chance it will not pass.
Should it fail, it’s by far not the end of the “American Health Care Act,” but it’s a strong defeat for both President Donald Trump and Speaker Paul Ryan.
The bill can only afford three defections from GOP lawmakers to survive at this juncture.
Will Republicans show a backbone? Will they derail the bill?
