Â
Moments after the Women’s March on Washington got under way on Saturday, Hillary Clinton took to Twitter to express her support:Â
Thanks for standing, speaking & marching for our values @womensmarch. Important as ever. I truly believe we’re always Stronger Together.

Clinton is in New York and won’t be attending the march, which is one of hundreds of events around the globe to protest President Donald Trump.Â
Charles Brotman, the longtime announcer for the inauguration parade who was unceremoniously sacked by Trump, was the first speaker.Â
“The crowds here are much larger than at the parade,” Brotman noted.Â
