It Will Be Either Amazingly Funny, or End in a Metaphoric Knockout
It is a night like no other. Every four years the presidential candidates attend the annual Al Smith Charity Dinner, where they will roast each other, traditionally with self-deprecating humor. Of course, that is an impossibility for Donald Trump, and Hillary Clinton has not been especially good at humor, so the “white tie” full evening dress night will be either amazingly funny, or end in a metaphoric knockout.
Either way, it will be fascinating.Â
The events have begun and the Clinton and Trump speeches are expected to start at 8:50 PM EDT.
