Michelle Obama: We Should Have A Woman President ‘As Soon As Possible’ (Video)
First Lady Michele Obama tells Robin Roberts that America “is ready” and should elect a woman president “as soon as possible.”
Michelle Obama sat down with ABC News’ Robin Roberts on stage at the Working Families Summit and when asked about the possibility of a woman president, responded that America “is ready” and should elect one “as soon as possible.” The First Lady made quite clear several times she is not a candidate, but said, “I think we have some options.”
“This country is ready for anyone who can do the job,” the 50-year old attorney who graduated from Harvard Law School said. “What we have learned is that the person who can do the job doesn’t have a particular race or gender or background or socioeconomic status. The person who can do the job is the person who’s the most qualified.”
