SNL’s Meghan McCain Manically Defends Alabama Abortion Ban as ‘the Only Daughter at the Table’ on The View
In an SNL parody of ABC’s “The View,” Meghan McCain, played by Aidy Bryant, gave a full-throated defense of Alabama’s full abortion ban, telling her co-panelists, “I’m the only daughter at the table.”
“OK, can I talk now?” she asked. “OK, I am the only daughter at this table. So I have to say, these senators are actually very good and fun guys.”
McCain then complained that her co-hosts were speaking over her, only to have Leslie Jones — as Whoopi Goldberg — tell her, “No one else is talking.”
“OK, you see, and I’m getting attacked,” the weeping McCain complained before asserting, “And as the person most upset right now, I am right.”
