WATCH: Betsy DeVos Confronted by Jeering Protesters as She Tries to Slip Into Nashville Charter School

Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, still smarting from the public rebuke of her plan to zero out funding for the Special Olympics, was met with jeers and protest on Monday when she visited Nashville, Tennessee with Governor Bill Lee.
The two were in Nashville for a round-table discussion about the state’s many education issues, including the governor’s support for so-called “school choice” and vouchers for public schools.
But if the secretary and the governor were hoping to slip quietly in and out of Nashville, they were mistaken. As they entered LEAD Cameron, a local charter middle school, they were met by protestors chanting “no voucher bills,” “support public education,” and “don’t bring your scam to Tennessee.”
