Trump Appears to Know What Cohen Said Behind Closed Doors to Congress Less than 24 Hours Ago – Does He Have a Mole?
After arriving in the U.S. from yet another totally failed summit with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un President Donald Trump Friday morning launched yet another angry tweetstorm attempting to discredit his former fixer Michael Cohen.
Cohen’s open-door testimony before Congress was very destructive to Trump, with a Fox News legal expert saying it revealed a possible four felonies Trump may have committed. But it was Cohen’s closed door testimony on Thursday that’s been called a “game changer.”
At the end of one of the most damaging weeks to his presidency, and with nothing on his public schedule today, Trump went into attack mode.
He first claimed his former attorney Michael Cohen “wrote a ‘love letter to Trump’ manuscript,” which appears to be false, while trying to discredit Cohen’s testimony. This has been the GOP gameplan all week.
Interestingly, Trump appears to reveal he already knows what Cohen said in his closed-door testimony before Congress on Thursday. It would seem he might have a high-level mole.
“Your heads will spin when you see the lies, misrepresentations and contradictions against his Thursday testimony,” Trump claims. The public has no idea what Cohen said on Thursday, except it was so impactful Cohen was asked to return to testify before Congress again next week.
After falsely claiming Cohen was “totally discredited,” Trump makes a similar, and similarly false claim about the Mueller investigation, saying, “the 2 year Russian Collusion case has fallen apart.”
He adds, comically: “there was no Collusion except bye Crooked Hillary and the Democrats.”
The “corrupt and illegally brought Witch Hunt” is what you say when you have nothing actually damaging about it to say.
And… we’re back to the supposed Cohen manuscript. Amusingly, Cohen “committed perjury on a scale not seen before.” Cohen reportedly exposed lies Trump may have told in his written testimony given to Mueller.
Trump brings up Lanny Davis, a well-known attorney who is representing Cohen. Davis said before Congress during Cohen’s hearing that he does not expect to be paid until Cohen is out of prison.
Five tweets in just 37 minutes. That might be a record for Trump.
