2020 Road to the White House
Trump Eggs on Former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz – Hopes He Runs for President to Help Him Win Re-Election
The 2020 presidential race is ramping up as Democratic politicians begin announcing their campaigns. Democratic voters appear excited about many of those who have announced, notably Senators Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren.
But many are angered by the news that former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz revealed this weekend he is considering a run for the White House, as an “centrist independent.”
I love our country, and I am seriously considering running for president as a centrist independent.

Many believe he could siphon off votes from some Democrats, and from Republicans opposed to Trump but not wanting to see a Democrat in the White House.
Among those supportive of Schultz running: President Donald Trump, who knows a third party candidate in the race can only help him win re–election. No third party candidate has ever won the presidency, and always act as a spoiler.
So President Trump is egging on Schultz, taking to Twitter in a transparent attack on Schultz to get him to prove he’s courageous and smart enough to run – and win.
In typical Trump tactics, the President just posted this tweet:
Howard Schultz doesn’t have the “guts” to run for President! Watched him on @60Minutes last night and I agree with him that he is not the “smartest person.” Besides, America already has that! I only hope that Starbucks is still paying me their rent in Trump Tower!
