First Lady’s Office Calls for Firing of Top National Security Official

‘She No Longer Deserves the Honor of Serving in This White House’
A battle between a top Trump administration national security advisor, Mira Ricardel, and the Office of the First Lady will reportedly lead to the official’s firing. But just in case the President was going to waffle, it appears Melania Trump‘s spokesperson isn’t giving him a choice.
“It is the position of the Office of the First Lady that she no longer deserves the honor of serving in this White House,” The First Lady’s communications director Stephanie Grisham told ABC News about Deputy National Security Advisor Mira Ricardel.
Earlier Tuesday The Wall Street Journal reported President Trump is expected to fire Mira Ricardel, the Deputy National Security Advisor, after a battle with the East Wing. Ricardel reports to John Bolton.
The battle was about seating arrangements on the plane when the First Lady traveled to Africa last month.
Washington Post White House reporter Josh Dawsey notes:
Ricardel is among the most despised aides in the West Wing, if not the most. https://t.co/yruuVWsOal
