Turkish Official Tells CNN What Happened to the Body of Jamal Khashoggi

A Turkish official has confirmed to CNN that the body of Jamal Khashoggi was cut into pieces after the Washington Post journalist was killed at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

Officially, Saudi Arabia has steadfastly denied any knowledge of Khashoggi’s whereabouts. On Monday, President Trump told reporters he had spoken with the Saudi king, and insisted that he denied having anything to do with what appears to be a state-sanctioned murder.

“Turkish officials searched the consulate for nine hours on Monday night,” CNN adds.

Chances that Khashoggi was in fact killed appeared to rise dramatically only hours later, when news reports revealed that the Saudi government was debating whether or not to announce Khashoggi had been killed as part of an interrogation gone bad.

New York Magazine on Monday ran this chilling yet mocking headline: “Reports: Saudi Arabia Mulling ‘We Only Meant to Torture and Kidnap the Journalist’ Defense.”

Some reports stated a Saudi Arabia hit squad of 15 men were waiting for Khashoggi and killed him mere hours after he entered the consulate. Some reports also said his body was cut into pieces with a bone saw.

Some are saying that if any of these reports are true, President Trump is complicit:
