Far-Right “Proud Boys” Assault Several in NYC, but Why No Arrests?

Roughly 30 people identified as members of the “Proud Boys,” a violent far right “men’s rights” organization, took to the streets of New York City after a rally at the Metropolitan Republican Club on East 83rd Street.
Several NYPD officers were assigned to monitor the protest outside the club, but the attacks by Proud Boys happened two blocks away from the location.
Shay Horse, a photojournalist who witnessed the melee, reported on the incident via Twitter.
This is one of those nights where things seem even more fucked up when editing/reviewing my photos. It wasn’t until I wanna editing that I realized how many fights were happening at once. pic.twitter.com/rRcXV5nXWJ

The members of the group attacked three people, pummeling them and knocking them to the ground.
A NYPD officer did roll up on the scene on a scooter after a period of time, and broke up the fight after Horse pleaded for the officer to do something. The officer did not attempt to arrest any of the Proud Boys.
Officers in the area did, however, arrest three “anti-racist protesters” at the Metropolitan Republican Club.
NYC’s Public Advocate, Letitia James, reacted to the fallout from the attack.

NYPD is only now seeking further information about those involved in the attack.
Looking to identify and speak to these individuals. If you know who they are call Crimestoppers @NYPDTips 1-800-577-TIPS. There is no tolerance for violence #NYC and together we are stronger. @NYPDnews @NYPDONeill @NYPDChiefofDept @NYPDDCPI. #UES. pic.twitter.com/h3VkbiAJcS
