THE RESISTANCE IS ALIVE AND WELL
Democratic Rush to Donate to Collins Opponent Crashes Servers After Announcement She’s Voting for Kavanaugh
The internet has exploded with anger and outrage moments after Maine Republican Senator Susan Collins announced she will vote on Saturday to place accused attempted rapist Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court.
Senator Collins has enjoyed a reputation as a moderate who will cross the aisle, and her pro-choice stance has earned her the support of some Maine Democrats over the years, but already funds are being created to give a future Democratic opponent a healthy start to unseat Collins.
Update: Activists have now raised more than $1.9 million, according to their crowdfunding page. https://t.co/X98PftdGvz

The rush to donate to her Democratic opponent literally crashed the servers at one site:
Many are mocking her as “naive.”
COLLINS: "I asked the Judge point blank whether he had made any commitments to anyone at the White House, the Federalist Society, to any outside group on how he would decide cases. He unequivocally assured me he had not."@SenatorCollins can't really be this naive, can she? pic.twitter.com/hhVu2v3qQj

Former Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama weighs in:
If I was a Maine Democrat with Senatorial ambition, I would announce my 2020 campaign in the next couple of hours

More outrage and promises to unseat Collins:
Donate now to Susan Collins' opponent. Mainers deserve better than this fraud. https://t.co/BZ9jXzAWLw

Congratulations to Susan Collins on your retirement from the Senate!

This speech makes the betrayal worse. I’m horrified and angry and now will spend time defeating her as if it’s my personal mission in life. I’m a Scorpio I hold grudges. #defeatSusan #lastelection #preparetolose

In Susan Collins’ world, if a woman says she was assaulted and the two men in the room deny it under oath, while other people at a party that for them was unremarkable don’t remember it, it never happened.

Are you all not, on one level, relieved that Susan Collins has finally revealed herself fully to the people of Maine?
People of Maine, please beat her in 2020, and send her into retirement.

Susan Collins just caved. She’s supporting Kavanaugh, and in fact will be the key vote winning him the nomination. If you’ve had enough of @SenatorCollins’ duplicity, donate now to her 2020 opponent. Let’s show her what happens when you betray women: https://t.co/rPzuycMb8d

This vote will both define Susan Collins' career and end Susan Collins' career. To stand before the American people and so callously disparage a sexual assault survivor will never be forgotten. A truly shameful speech by a shameless person.

I donated. Fuck Susan Collins. https://t.co/YIN6UbsRJ8

$2 million dollars now ready to unseat her. This will be the most important Senate race in 2020. No room in Maine for ghouls like Collins. She's done. https://t.co/Arwj2blbM9
