Trump Delivers Second Statement Today Supporting Kavanaugh – ‘Great at Everything He’s Ever Done’
President Donald Trump stood before cameras at the United Nations Monday afternoon, hours after he had already spoken to reporters, to once again deliver his support to embattled Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
“He’s a fine, fine man, a great scholar, great at everything he’s ever done,” Trump said at an impromptu press event. “It would be sad indeed if something happened to reroute that. This is a fine man and we certainly hope he’s going to be confirmed, and quickly.”
The president continued to defend his nominee, who has been accused by at two women on the record, with a third and possibly fourth reportedly coming out in the next few days.
“His family has suffered, his family has suffered,” Trump said, repeating himself to stress the point. “What’s going on is not something that should happen. Brett Kavanaugh is an absolute outstanding person,” Trump concluded.
