‘I’ve Never Sexually Assaulted Anyone’: Kavanaugh and Wife Give Interview to Fox News (Video)

Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Ashley Estes Kavanaugh, his wife, a Maryland town manager, will appear Monday night on Fox News. The couple taped an interview with the right wing news outlet whose former co-president now serves as the White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications.

“I’m not going to let false accusations drive us out of this process,” Judge Kavanaugh continues, in what appears to be a scripted and staged interview. As he says “us” he pauses to look at his wife.
“We’re looking for a fair process, where I can be heard and defend my lifelong record of promoting dignity and equality for women, starting with the women who knew me when I was 14 years old,” Kavanaugh continues. Ashley Kavanaugh can be seen shaking her head in agreement but then stops when he starts talking about promoting dignity and equality for women.
Kavanaugh tonight will try to defend his candidacy as a Supreme Court nominee after at least two women have gone on the record to accuse him of sexual assault. Attorney Michael Avenatti says he has another client who alleges Kavanaugh participated in attempts to use alcohol and drugs to place women in situations where they were then gang raped.

Many took to Twitter to express their thoughts:
Kavanaugh just wrote to Grassley today that “a federal judge must be independent” and not swayed by politics—but now he’s going on highly partisan Fox News, until recently run by top Trump official Bill Shine, who allegedly covered up sexual harassment while there? Seriously? https://t.co/KaEHhlQ8xP

I suspect this appearance by Kavanaugh and his wife tonight on Fox News is an effort to round up unsure Republicans for a vote and avoid hearings Thursday. This all has a feel of a giant bluff all along. If Dr Ford testifies he will likely be toast.

Holy shit. Kavanaugh is going to be on Fox News tonight?
This is a very bad idea. For him.#BelieveSurvivors https://t.co/BESVhxzwos— Holly Figueroa O'Reilly 📢 (@AynRandPaulRyan) September 24, 2018
If you are trying to win over public opinion, you wouldn't go on @FoxNews.
But if you only care about the base and pressure on a few wobbly Republican Senators, you go on @FoxNews. If you're a diehard partisan, you give Fox News the exclusive.
Guess which is Kavanaugh's strategy. https://t.co/unlzE2Lrvc— Jed Shugerman (@jedshug) September 24, 2018
One point about the Kavanaugh Fox News interview: whenever a man goes on TV with his wife to refute an allegation of sexual misconduct, it usually ends with that person resigning or being denied the office they are seeking
