LIES AND THE LYING LIARS THAT TELL THEM
Trump’s SCOTUS Pick Delivers Astonishing Falsehood Seconds After Being Named

President Donald Trump Monday night named Brett Kavanaugh to become the next U.S. Supreme Court justice. A Washington, D.C. Court of Appeals judge, Kavanaugh spoke for a few minutes after the president introduced him as the nominee.
In an astonishingly blatant lie, Judge Kavanaugh claimed that President Trump has an “appreciation for the vital role of the American judiciary.”

That’s a lie, plain and simple.
Most Americans likely remember then-candidate Trump repeatedly lambast a federal judge, born in Indiana, as “Mexican” and therefore unable to rule fairly in a case against him.
On Twitter, Trump many, many times has attacked judges and the judiciary. A few examples:
I should have easily won the Trump University case on summary judgement but have a judge, Gonzalo Curiel, who is totally biased against me.

Democrat judges have totally redrawn election lines in the great State of Pennsylvania. @FoxNews. This is very unfair to Republicans and to our country as a whole. Must be appealed to the United States Supreme Court ASAP!

The opinion of this so-called judge, which essentially takes law-enforcement away from our country, is ridiculous and will be overturned!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 4, 2017
The judge opens up our country to potential terrorists and others that do not have our best interests at heart. Bad people are very happy!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 5, 2017
Is Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg going to apologize to me for her misconduct? Big mistake by an incompetent judge!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 13, 2016
I have a judge in the Trump University civil case, Gonzalo Curiel (San Diego), who is very unfair. An Obama pick. Totally biased-hates Trump
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 30, 2016
What is our country coming to when a judge can halt a Homeland Security travel ban and anyone, even with bad intentions, can come into U.S.?
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 4, 2017
Because the ban was lifted by a judge, many very bad and dangerous people may be pouring into our country. A terrible decision
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 4, 2017
Even though I have a very biased and unfair judge in the Trump U civil case in San Diego, I have thousands of great reviews & will win case!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 2, 2016
The judge in the Oscar Pistorious case is a total moron. She said he didn’t act like a killer. This is another O.J. disaster!
