NY Times Under Fire for Homophobic Animation of ‘Forbidden Romance’ Between Trump and Putin (Video)

‘Makes Homosexuality a Punchline’

The New York Times is being roundly criticized as homophobic for publishing a short animation that depicts the “forbidden romance” between Donald Trump as a teenager in love with Vladimir Putin.

The video, just over one-minute long, includes images of the two men, including kissing – complete with intertwined tongues, a beating heart, and hand holding, of sorts.

The Times says it’s the second two of a three-part opinion piece titled, “Trump Bites.” The animation is by Bill Plympton, and the video was produced by Billy Shebar and David Roberts.

The audio is clips of Trump talking about his fondness for Putin, among other disturbing remarks.
