Internet Turns on Jim Jordan After Report Says 100 Students Told Ohio State of Doc’s Sexual Assault

Rep. Jim Jordan is in even deeper trouble after the Associated Press posted a tweet stating more than 100 students say they told Ohio State about the wrestling team’s doctor who was sexually assaulting and raping students.

Friday afternoon Twitter exploded, attacking GOP Rep. Jim Jordan, upon seeing the AP’s tweet – which has since gone viral. Jordan was the Ohio State wrestling team’s assistant coach. He denies ever being told that the team physician, Dr. Richard Strauss, was regularly sexually molesting, assaulting, or raping team members.

Reports state up to 11 former wrestling team members, most of whom were assaulted themselves, say Jordan had to have known. He in turn has repeatedly called them liars, and claims they are part of a coordinated effort to make him lose his attempt to become Speaker of the House.

It gets worse for Jordan.

The Washington Post has just reported “Ohio State has more than 100 firsthand accounts of sexual misconduct,” by Dr. Strauss.

Calls Grow for Jim Jordan to Resign After New Lawsuit Alleges He Refused to Confront Sexual Misconduct

A new lawsuit filed Thursday has reminded America U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) still stands accused by multiple people that he knew of sexual misconduct and abuse at Ohio State, when he served as an asst. coach, yet did nothing.

Thursday’s lawsuit, alleges a referee told Jordan the team doctor masturbated in the shower in front of him, yet Jordan took no action, saying, “Yeah, yeah, we know.” That doctor was found to have abused 177 students.

Outrage and calls are growing for Congressman Jordan, a grenade-throwing conspiracy theorist bulldog who’s devoted recent years to defending President Trump, to resign. After Thursday’s devastating report, Friday morning #JimJordanKnew has been trending on social media.

Americans Express Anger and Confusion After Trump Posts Tweet That Appears to Celebrate 9/11

President Donald Trump’s first tweet of the day was not honoring 9/11, or the nearly 3000 lives that were lost in that unimaginable tragic attack on America.

Instead, it was about what’s always on his mind: trying to convince the world his election was legitimate and he did not collude with Russia to win.

Trump then retweeted a 9/11 tweet from his director of social media, then posted three tweets responding to stories Fox News was reporting, then he posted a tweet announcing he was traveling “to attend a Flight 93 September 11th Memorial Service in Shanksville, Pennsylvania with Melania.”

And then, this:

It appears to be a gleeful celebration of one of the worst, most deadly, and most horrific attacks on the nation. Whether or not that was his intent, that’s what it appears to be.

He did not and has not mentioned the brave first responders, many of whom died working to save others. Many first responders suffer disease from the toxins they breathed in while selflessly working to help others live.

He did not mention the nearly 3000 who died. He did not mention the families, friends, and co-workers who lost loved ones that terrible day.

He did not mention the U.S. service members who went to war, a misguided war, many of whom lost their lives, or their limbs, or their mental health.

President Trump did nothing to honor those most affected by 9/11.

Instead, he tweeted a celebration of the attacks.

Donald Trump: as unpopular as Nixon when he resigned.

A new poll released this week shows that President Donald Trump is as disliked as President Richard M. Nixon was on the day he resigned from office.

The Marist College Poll is reporting that only 20% of Americans find Donald Trump’s job performance as “excellent,” with an additional 20% listing him as “pretty good.”

At the bottom of the rankings, 13% said the President’s job performance is “fair,” with 45% reporting it as “poor.”

44 years ago this week, as President Nixon was preparing to resign the office, he also had a 45% majority of the country claiming he was doing a poor job, per the Harris poll.

Of course, the numbers split along party lines. A mere 2% of Democrats feel that trump is doing an excellent job, versus 49% of Republicans. At the other end of the scale, 80% of Democrats list his performance as poor, while only 6% of republicans would agree.

One major difference between Trump and Nixon’s number is the intensity of feelings over Trump. Only 70% of Democrats polled in 1974 felt Nixon’s performance was poor — ten points more favorable than Trump today.

The same is true for Republicans, with a mere 20% of 1974 Republicans giving Nixon an excellent rating.

The intensity of dislike by Democrats is expected to help in the polls come November’s midterm elections, potentially fueling a record turnout and a sizable victory for Democratic candidates.

The last time Democrats picked up such huge midterm wins? 1974.
