A new lawsuit filed Thursday has reminded America U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) still stands accused by multiple people that he knew of sexual misconduct and abuse at Ohio State, when he served as an asst. coach, yet did nothing.
Thursday’s lawsuit, alleges a referee told Jordan the team doctor masturbated in the shower in front of him, yet Jordan took no action, saying, “Yeah, yeah, we know.” That doctor was found to have abused 177 students.
Outrage and calls are growing for Congressman Jordan, a grenade-throwing conspiracy theorist bulldog who’s devoted recent years to defending President Trump, to resign. After Thursday’s devastating report, Friday morning #JimJordanKnew has been trending on social media.
Let this sink in: there is way more credible evidence that Rep. Jim Jordan covered up a sexual abuse scandal at Ohio State than there is evidence Joe Biden did anything wrong related to Ukraine.

So between Duncan Hunter and Gym Jordan we have a pattern here. Democrats like Katie Hill and Al Franken resign to do the right thing, and the gutless gang of eunuchs in the @GOP hang on for dear life, no matter how wretched their actions were. Disgusting. #JimJordanKnew https://t.co/7CC9R9iWHC

Katie Hill resigned over a consensual affair with a staffer. Bill Clinton was impeached. Jim Jordan stood by silently while tens if not hundreds of young men entrusted to his care as their coach were subjected to sexual abuse & did nothing. https://t.co/3PXMWDmrAZ

When he was SEVENTEEN, in 1994, John Doe evidently reported to Jim Jordan that sexual predator Strauss masturbated in front of him in a shower after a wrestling match.
“Yeah, that’s Strauss,” said Rep. @Jim_Jordan (R-OH).
Remove Jordan from Oversight. Now. https://t.co/L96P8pUe3z

Americans Express Anger and Confusion After Trump Posts Tweet That Appears to Celebrate 9/11
President Donald Trump’s first tweet of the day was not honoring 9/11, or the nearly 3000 lives that were lost in that unimaginable tragic attack on America.
Instead, it was about what’s always on his mind: trying to convince the world his election was legitimate and he did not collude with Russia to win.
Trump then retweeted a 9/11 tweet from his director of social media, then posted three tweets responding to stories Fox News was reporting, then he posted a tweet announcing he was traveling “to attend a Flight 93 September 11th Memorial Service in Shanksville, Pennsylvania with Melania.”
And then, this:
17 years since September 11th!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 11, 2018
It appears to be a gleeful celebration of one of the worst, most deadly, and most horrific attacks on the nation. Whether or not that was his intent, that’s what it appears to be.
He did not and has not mentioned the brave first responders, many of whom died working to save others. Many first responders suffer disease from the toxins they breathed in while selflessly working to help others live.
He did not mention the nearly 3000 who died. He did not mention the families, friends, and co-workers who lost loved ones that terrible day.
He did not mention the U.S. service members who went to war, a misguided war, many of whom lost their lives, or their limbs, or their mental health.
President Trump did nothing to honor those most affected by 9/11.
Instead, he tweeted a celebration of the attacks.
Many on social media were confused, outraged, and stunned:
This is NOT a celebration!!! What is wrong with you?!! Today is about remembering & honoring the massive loss of life that occurred on this horrific day in our history, and recognizing the families who have suffered losing their loved ones. DO NOT DISRESPECT THAT! #NeverForget https://t.co/qxPVM7bfrx

This reads like something a 13 year old would tweet. And who puts an exclamation point in this? Like we should be excited about it? What a complete and utter buffoon. https://t.co/MPvKH7I55j

good morning, we live in hell https://t.co/9bFs85I3JG
— Patrick Blanchfield (@PatBlanchfield) September 11, 2018
I don't get what in the actual hell this tweet is supposed to mean. Looking into this man's history, it could easily mean the celebration of the height of Trump Tower.
What a disgrace, on every level. https://t.co/daAbgOFR6a

This would be inappropriate if it had come from a news journalist.
That it has come from the President of the country who suffered from this attack is outrageous beyond my capacity to describe it. https://t.co/yJy3lx09ir

You act like its a celebration you incompetent dotard. Thank you to all the racist moronic inbred Trump voters for giving us this fat tub of goo to lead this country. Unfuckingbelievable.

Wow. You are incapable of any real sympathy for those affected by 9/11. This tweet sounds like a celebration. Disgusting.

For someone who tweets NONSTOP on pointless issues, this is what the POTUS has to say to the victims and survivors on the anniversary of one of the most impactful days in our history. Glad you can do math Mr. President. https://t.co/frQo9pNbac

I briefly wondered how Trump would mark the occasion today, figuring I’d be disappointed in whatever he did, but not surprised.
I was wrong about the second part. https://t.co/oztxhBo1ml

What a bizarre thing to tweet. No mention of the victims, the rescuers, the soldiers who served in Afghanistan or any wider context of the attack. https://t.co/tXLdVGxzyR

Donald Trump: as unpopular as Nixon when he resigned.
A new poll released this week shows that President Donald Trump is as disliked as President Richard M. Nixon was on the day he resigned from office.
The Marist College Poll is reporting that only 20% of Americans find Donald Trump’s job performance as “excellent,” with an additional 20% listing him as “pretty good.”
At the bottom of the rankings, 13% said the President’s job performance is “fair,” with 45% reporting it as “poor.”
44 years ago this week, as President Nixon was preparing to resign the office, he also had a 45% majority of the country claiming he was doing a poor job, per the Harris poll.
Of course, the numbers split along party lines. A mere 2% of Democrats feel that trump is doing an excellent job, versus 49% of Republicans. At the other end of the scale, 80% of Democrats list his performance as poor, while only 6% of republicans would agree.
One major difference between Trump and Nixon’s number is the intensity of feelings over Trump. Only 70% of Democrats polled in 1974 felt Nixon’s performance was poor — ten points more favorable than Trump today.
The same is true for Republicans, with a mere 20% of 1974 Republicans giving Nixon an excellent rating.
The intensity of dislike by Democrats is expected to help in the polls come November’s midterm elections, potentially fueling a record turnout and a sizable victory for Democratic candidates.
The last time Democrats picked up such huge midterm wins? 1974.
Trump “needs to put a pin in that,” says panelist
An MSNBC panel was positively stunned by a tweet from Donald Trump on Sunday morning, where the president admitted his oldest son and other campaign officials met with Russians in an attempt to seek dirt on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Sunday morning Trump contradicted previous White House explainations that Donald Trump Jr.’s 2016 meeting in Trump Tower was about orphans, with the president writing, “Fake News reporting, a complete fabrication, that I am concerned about the meeting my wonderful son, Donald, had in Trump Tower. This was a meeting to get information on an opponent.”
With the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) maintaining that presidents can’t be prosecuted while still in office, conservative columnist Jennifer Rubin said Trump’s collusion admission could mean he’ll be at risk of jail time after leaving office.
“I’d like to remind Mr. Trump that that ruling only says you can’t be prosecuted while in office,” Rubin explained. “So before he goes out the door, maybe he wants to resign the presidency and has Vice President Pence pardon him because he’s going to be prosecutable as soon as he leaves office.”
“He needs to put a pin in that,” she added.
