President Donald Trump Isn’t Even Trying to Mask His Racist Beliefs
The president on Tuesday morning launched a racist rant, attacking immigrants as “illegal” and claiming that they will “pour into and infest our Country, like MS-13.” He also confirmed his immigration policy of separating children from families was designed to help him secure border wall funding.
After posting five statements defending his policy, Trump said: “Now is the best opportunity ever for Congress to change the ridiculous and obsolete laws on immigration. Get it done, always keeping in mind that we must have strong border security.”
He also claimed that “Democrats are the problem,” and insisted they view undocumented immigrants “as potential voters!”
“We must always arrest people coming into our Country illegally,” Trump continued. Crossing the border illegally is a misdemeanor.
In one particularly Trumpian statement, the President made provably false claims about Germany, a country he has sought to attack over the past few days.
“Crime in Germany is up 10% plus (officials do not want to report these crimes) since migrants were accepted,” Trump lied. Crime in Germany is the lowest its been since 1992.
“Others countries are even worse,” he claimed. “Be smart America!”
Trump, his administration, and his supporters continue to portray immigrants from Central America as violent criminals, instead of asylum seekers fleeing the murder capital of the world.
