Trump Just Tweeted About ‘Spygate’ Again – Guess He Doesn’t Realize We Know He Made It All Up

President Donald Trump has created yet another lie-filled conspiracy, “SPYGATE,” as he calls it, in all-caps, and he’s tweeting about it again today.

It’s too bad that he doesn’t actually read, or he’d realize we all know he made it up – all the way down to the branding, as the Associated Press reported Thursday.

“Trump told one ally this week that he wanted ‘to brand’ the informant a ‘spy,’ believing the more nefarious term would resonate more in the media and with the public.

(If you feel like you’re not fully caught up on what the heck all this “SPYGATE” nonsense is about, here’s a quick explainer.)

There is no “SPYGATE.” It’s a lie, just like his huge lie of accusing a former president of a felony.

Remember last year, when for months Trump insisted, “Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory”? That was a lie so big the DOJ had to come out to admit they investigated and could find no evidence.

On Thursday morning Trump posted this tweet:

Literally every one of those claims is a lie.

Clapper did not admit there was spying. There is zero proof of money paid to the spy. The only political scandal about “SPYGATE” is it’s a ie made up by the President of the United States to obstruct justice. Actually, it is “a terrible thing” – that he’s doing this.

Here’s Trump spinning “SPYGATE” on Wednesday. It’s clear he’s doing this to attack Jim Comey. “I did a great service to our country by firing James Comey,” he told reporters.

“We now call it SPYGATE – you’re calling it ‘SPYGATE,'” he lied. (See above. Trump created the term.)

Trump pounded this false narrative home with yet another offensive lie minutes after his first tweet Thursday morning:

Again, zero evidence that FBI rank and file are “starting to speak out against Comey.”

We all know Trump is a serial liar, but these lies are literally disrupting – and damaging – democracy. Our democracy.
