Trump Bad at His Own Game: Debate Guests Include Benghazi Victims’ Relatives and Obama Half Brother
Somewhere in Las Vegas, Hillary Clinton is likely laughing, thinking to herself, “Is this the best they’ve got? Bring it on!”
Sitting in the audience at Wednesday night’s third and final presidential debate, invited personal guests of Donald Trump will be President Barack Obama’s half-brother Malik Obama, relatives of victims killed in the attack on Benghazi including the fiancée of the late U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, and angel moms, women who have lost relatives to violence committed by undocumented immigrants.

All this is the supposed debate strategy of Steve Bannon, Donald Trump’s campaign CEO.
“According to Bannon, the news that President Obama’s Trump-supporting half-brother Malik Obama is attending Wednesday’s debate is ‘just an appetizer,'” CNN’s Brian Steltzer reports. “Trump will be bringing guests who ‘expose Bill and Hillary’s sordid past,’ Bannon told CNN.”
It’s of course unclear why the president’s half-brother will “expose Bill and Hillary’s sordid past,” but this is the desperate Trump campaign, who engage in embarrassingly juvenile strategy to extremes.Â
Extreme vetting: Trump’s #debate guest, Malik Obama is a supporter of Hamas https://t.co/9ltlX4gz5Z

Malik Obama, as many have noted and as many articles have stated, is reportedly a supporter of not only Donald Trump, but of Hamas. What does that say about Trump?Â
If the Trump campaign thinks this ploy will work, they’ve clearly forgotten the second presidential debate, when they held a press conference with Bill Clinton accusers. Hillary Clinton won that debate, according to all the polls.
After all, this is the former secretary of state who sat through a gruelling eleven-hour hearing on Benghazi, being grilled by Republicans, live on national television, and came out not only the winner, but a sympathetic figure.Â
