Oregon Domestic Terrorists ‘Alarmed’ After New Armed ‘Militia’ Group Shows Up

‘We’re Asking You To Leave’ Says Leader Ammon Bundy To ‘Patriot’ Group

One week after Ammon Bundy‘s “militia” showed up and broke into the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, another so-called “patriot” group descended upon the federal installation. Just like Bundy and his group that many are calling domestic terrorists, this heavily armed group was not invited, showed up unannounced, and immediately tried to take control.

Members of an anti-government group called the Pacific Patriots Network Saturday morning drove up in a convoy of SUVs and pickup trucks to the refuge outside of Burns, Oregon, just as a Bundy spokesman was ending his daily morning press conference with local and national media.

The camouflage donned men from Oregon, Washington and Idaho stepped out and immediately began ordering reporters away, and set up a perimeter outside the refuge.

Bundy, who has enjoyed a degree of notoriety the past week, saw a threat to his rule and made clear he was not pleased.

Utah attorney Todd MacFarlane, working with the Bundy group, told The Oregonian Ammon Bundy does not want the Pacific Patriots Network there.

“We don’t need that. We don’t want it and we’re asking you to leave,” Bundy said through MacFarlane.

Bundy’s band of militiamen are “alarmed” by the appearance of another militia group, MacFarlane said, “and concerned about the perception they convey,” The Oregonian reports.

“This was the last thing in the world they wanted to see happen,” MacFarlane said.

Bundy didn’t request the presence of the network, he said, and has “tried to put out the word: ‘We don’t need you.'”

Pacific Patriots Network leader Brandon Curtiss said they’re only there to “de-escalate” the situation, and opted to do so by showing up heavily armed.

“The reason why we’re here is to set a security buffer between the gentlemen here at the refuge, the community citizens as well as law enforcement,” Curtiss said, telling KATU reporter Cory Marshall, “As you can see, we established our security perimeter when we rolled up.”

“We are not the militia, and we are not a militia,” Curtiss said, adding they are “here for everybody’s safety, on both sides.”

Bundy group member LaVoy Finicum said while they appreciate the Pacific Patriots Network showing up, “we want the long guns put away.”

Saturday afternoon, members of the Pacific Patriots Network presented the domestic terrorists with “articles of resolution,” then drove off to give a copy to “other government agencies,” presumably local law enforcement.

They did not reveal the contents of the documents.
