Breaking: Rick Perry Announces He Is Running For President, Claims To ‘Bridge Partisan Divide’
Right wing Republican Rick Perry, whose positions are far outside mainstream America, just announced he is again running for president.
Former Texas governor, currently under indictment, Rick Perry is once again running for president. Although his first White House bid was as much an embarrassment for him as it was for the Texans he represented, ultimately washing out during a debate in which his infamous “oops” answer was perhaps the most memorable thing abut his campaign, this time Perry’s advisors say it will be different.
Polling at about two percent among a wide field, Perry posted a new campaign website and video early Thursday morning, in which he claims to be the one who can “bridge the partisan divide.”
There’s little evidence of that, and given his extremist views he will find an increasing number of Americans who oppose his Christian conservative, anti-gay, anti-women, anti-government views.
The nonpartisan Ballotpedia gives Perry a 10 percent on social issues, labeling him a far right conservative.
He is, however, on Snapchat.
