Justin Harris Tried To Exorcise Demons From Toddlers At His Federally Funded Christian Preschool
State Rep. Justin Harris had his two adopted girls exorcised before “re-homing” them to a rapist. But he also performed exorcisms on toddlers at his pre-school, a former employee says.
Last night, after learning that Justin Harris just three weeks ago filed legislation that would make it extremely difficult to nearly impossible for a minor to get an abortion, we wrote, “It seems the strange and disgusting tale of Justin Harris gets more strange and disgusting each day.”
Today, we continue down that path, upon learning that Arkansas State Rep. Justin Harris and his wife, Marsha Harris, and other employees, would often perform exorcisms on misbehaving toddlers at their Christian preschool, a former employee says.
Growing God’s Kingdom is the Harris’ preschool in West Fork, Arkansas. As NCRM has previously reported, it has “received over $1 million in state funds since 2005,” according to a 2011 report from Americans United, an organization that works to strengthen the separation of church and state.
The Harris family babysitter told a local Arkansas news station that the Harrises believed their two adopted girls, whom they would later “re-home” to a rapist, were possessed by demons. That rapist, who was an employee at the Harris’ Growing God’s Kingdom preschool, later raped the Harris’ adopted 6-year old girl, and two other girls. He is now serving a 40-year prison sentence.
“I just knew people from Alabama were coming to pray and an exorcist was basically going to help get the demons out of the two little girls,” Chelsey Goldsborough, the Harris’ babysitter, said. “That’s basically all they let me know.”
In a video interview, Goldsborough detailed the conditions at the Harris home.
“They used to share a room until something, until they found out they were possessed and then they split rooms. The older sister’s room had her bed, this desk and like a chair, and that was about it. I mean there was alarms on the doors. The first night I was there and they had left to see how I would handle it, and I was by this little girl’s door with praise and worship songs blaring and I was crying.” Goldsborough said.Â
Goldsborough isn’t the only former Harris employee talking about the Harris’ beliefs about demons possessing children.
A former Growing God’s Kingdom employee, who also enrolled her own child at the Harris preschool, spoke with another local Arkansas news outlet.Â
“She says Justin and Marsha Harris would often try to pray the demons out of misbehaving students at their pre-school,” KNWAÂ reports, in the video above.
“If they got in too much trouble they would pray on the kids, do a circle around them, put their hands on their heads, saying, trying to rebuke demons,” the former employee, who would only identify herself publicly as Amber, told KNWA. “I had another teacher there that had me take a child down to the office and whenever I did, they did it right there in front of me.”Â
