This is no accident — it’s a fantastically well-coordinated campaign to demonstrate to the Supreme Court that all Americans deserve the freedom to marry.
Freedom To Marry, the decade-old organization founded by the father of the modern-day same-sex marriage movement, Evan Wolfson, in conjunction with the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) are co-chairing the Respect for Marriage Coalition, “a partnership of more than 80 civil rights, faith, health, labor, business, legal, LGBT, student, and women’s organizations working together to end the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and grow support for the freedom to marry.”

Below is the Respect for Marriage Coalition‘s latest ad. It features a former Marine Corporal, Craig Stowell, and his wife, Berta — both Republicans — talking about the importance of same-sex marriage, as they sit in their kitchen.
“I didn’t used to understand the importance of same-sex marriage, but after learning my brother was gay, I wanted the same rights for him,” Stowell says, with his arm around his wife.
“He was the best man at my wedding and I want to be the best man at his.”
It’s an excellent ad, airing now on CNN.
