The Markets Since Obama’s Been In Office…
President Obama is the guest of a town hall on CNBC today.
Obama has been, in my opinion, slow on the LGBT civil rights front. Heck, there are those who argue there are many Republicans to the left of Obama on gay and civil rights. No arguing there.
But let’s be fair.
Here’s a graphic that shows the three key market indicators since the day Obama took office. Couple these with the news just released that the recession ended in June, 2009, and I think Obama deserves praise on his handling of the economic crisis.
Specifically:
DOW: +29%
S&P: +33%
Nasdaq: +53%
Yes, there is less focus on creating jobs than we all think should be there. But, giving credit where credit is due.
