Tea Party Patriots’ Chair Arrested For Gun Possession At LaGuardia Airport
The Chairman of the Tea Party Patriots has been arrested for gun possession at New York City’s LaGuardia Airport after attempting to board a flight without a permit, according to a breaking news report from CBS News.
CBS also posted this on their Facebook wall:
DEVELOPING: Mark Meckler, the co-founder and current chairman of the Tea Party Patriots, was arrested this morning at LaGuardia Airport. He was boarding a 5:30 a.m. flight to California when authorities discovered a gun in a lockbox with 19 cartridges. He did not have a NY State carry permit for the weapon — although he did have a California permit for it — so he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree. He is currently awaiting arraignment in Queens.
This is a developing story — stay tuned.
And expect a push from the  Tea Party and GOP for lowering gun carry permit requirements, including a national policy that forces states to accept the lowest common denominator state’s gun permits.
