WATCH: Obama Refuses to Comment on Trump’s White Nationalist Senior Aide
‘Would Not Be Appropriate for Me to Comment’
President Barack Obama Monday afternoon refused to comment on Donald Trump’s choice of Steve Bannon, the publisher of the far right wing website Breitbart, to be his top advisor. Bannon has made comments that show him to be a white nationalist, anti-gay, and a misogynist, and has bragged that his Breitbart website is the home of the alt-right movement.
“It would not be appropriate for me to comment on every appointment that the president-elect starts making,” Pres. Obama told the White House press corps.
