Today the Indiana House Judiciary Committee heard testimony from the public on a proposed amendment to the state constitution that would ban same-sex marriage.
Right now, starting at 7:00 PM ET, the ACLU of Indiana is debating the Indiana Family Institute, a right-wing anti-gay organization.
The debate is being moderated by former Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Randall Shepard, and is being hosted at Franklin College, a small liberal arts college that is affiliated with American Baptist Churches.
“Franklin College is delighted to host this debate because colleges should be places where important issues are discussed and debated. This debate will help our students, our community and our state come up with an informed answer to a question that matters a great deal. What better place for that discussion to happen than a college?†said Franklin College President Jay Moseley.
