Rhode Island Governor Lincoln Chafee will sign his state’s same-sex marriage bill into law today, making the “Ocean State” the tenth in the nation to extend the institution of marriage to same-sex couples. Same-sex couples can begin marrying on August 1.

You can watch the vote live as Rhode Island becomes the tenth state to legalize same-sex marriage via WPRI or the General Assembly. The signing is scheduled for 5:45 PM EDT but likely will be later due to a lengthy vote process in the House.
