Killer In Anti-Gay Hate Crime Laughed As He Told Cops: ‘I Shot Him In The Face’
The gunman who shot and killed a 32-year old gay man Friday night in New York City’s Greenwich Village reportedly laughed as he confessed to the police, “I shot him in the face.” Elliot Morales, 33, was caught within minutes by the NYPD as he fled the scene, after taking a silver .38 out of his pants and firing one fatal bullet into Mark Carson‘s head.

The media fortunately has decided that this anti-gay hate crime murder deserves some attention. “It’s quite ordinary to see gay men holding hands in the streets of the neighborhood, which makes the murder of 32-year-old Mark Carson, walking with a friend just after midnight on Sunday, that much more horrifying: the killing was both targeted and random,” Alexander Abad-Santos at the Atlantic Wire reports today, adding:
Any gay man in New York could have been Carson.
