On Dowd, Porn, Pedophilia, Priests, Poetry, and Steele. A Quick Update.
I can safely say I think I’ve addressed the porn, LGBTQ news/analysis/opinion blogs, equality, and journalism issue. I want to thank each and every one of you for the tremendous support you’ve given me. I’m still catching up on all your emails, and I will get to each and every one!
I’ve also shared a reader’s great comments, and I’ll be looking at a few more for you.
Right now, I’m taking advantage of Maureen Dowd’s NYT column today as a basis to continue the discussion about the Vatican’s pedophiliac priests, and how the right is slanting the issue against the LGBTQ community. (For the record, there’s a big difference between pedophiles and LGBTQs.)
Later, I’m going to post some poetry, as it’s National Poetry Month, and a very kind reader has been working on that for us.
Lsstly, a quick plea to Democrats: Stop beating up Michael Steele! He’s our inside weapon. As much as I’d like to be honorable and say a stronger GOP forces us all to be better, truth is, given today’s GOP/Tea party, we need to ensure we’re ahead, and they are way behind. GOP members have intentionally done too much damage to the LGBTQ community.
This is a great week for you to share your thoughts about current issues, and where you’d like to see the blog headed.
