Trump Hunkers Down – Cancels Trip to Latin America
President Donald Trump has just canceled a scheduled trip to Latin America, less than 24 hours after his personal attorney’s offices, home, and hotel room were raided by the FBI. Trump attacked a wide variety of people in a rambling rant Monday afternoon, and went on a Twitter tirade Tuesday morning.
“President Trump will not attend the 8th Summit of the Americas in Lima, Peru or travel to Bogota, Colombia as originally scheduled,” the White House said in a statement released to the press pool. “At the President’s request, the Vice President will travel in his stead. The President will remain in the United States to oversee the American response to Syria and to monitor developments around the world.”
The Summit is Friday and Saturday of this week.
