Cleve Jones: July 9th Is The 141st Anniversary Of The 14th Amendment
Cleve Jones, iconic LGBTQ activist who worked with Harvey Milk, spoke with Michaelangelo Signorile today on Out-Q radio about his National Equality March, gay rights, President Obama, and the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.
First, the March. Scheduled for October 11th, in Washington, D.C., Jones says there is no perfect time for a march. Yes, times are tough. Yes, Congress is not in session. But any later is too cold, and too late. And next year is way too late. Jones also says there is no permit problem, contrary to many reports.
