Just-Released NBC News Poll: Clinton Holds 9 Point Lead Over Trump
Only 17 Percent Say Trump Has Temperament to Be President
Hillary Clinton appears to be on solid footing to take the White House, and by a significant margin. A just-released NBC News/Survey Monkey poll finds the Democrat beating Donald Trump by 9 points, 50-41. Her margin has consistently remained in the upper single digits to lower double digits over Trump.
NBC News reports the results “indicate that the post-convention bounce for Clinton is more likely a shift in the race. Her lead has been nearly unchanged for the past three weeks.”

Clinton also beats Trump, by a huge margin, in areas like “has the personality and temperament to serve effectively as president.” 42 percent of registered voters say Clinton does, only 17 percent believe Donald Tump does.
Unfavorability is a challenge for both candidates, although Clinton lands better than Trump slightly. Clinton’s unfavorability is at 59 percent, Trump’s is at 64 percent.
“Clinton’s high point, however, is her perceived leadership strengths and ability to serve the country’s interests well. Her campaign has consistently emphasized her leadership qualities and worked to draw a stark contrast between her and Trump on issues of national security,” NBC News concludes.
