Planned Parenthood Terror Attack Suspect Reportedly Said Obama Ruining America, Wanted Him Impeached
A neighbor of the suspect in the Colorado Planned Parenthood terror attack offers some insight.
Robert Lewis Dear, 57, the suspect in a terror attack on a Colorado Planned Parenthood that left three people, including a police officer, dead, handed out anti-Obama leaflets, and said President Barack Obama is ruining America, a neighbor of Dear’s has told Buzzfeed.
Zigmond Post told BuzzFeed he was a neighbor of Dear’s in Hartsel, Colorado, and “said the man once gave him anti-Obama pamphlets.”
Buzzfeed reports today, “Post said he once went to Dear’s home to retrieve two dogs that had gotten loose. ‘We were there for a minute and the guy was already handing us anti-Obama pamphlets,’ he said. According to Post, Dear said ‘Obama was ruining the country and needed to be impeached.'”
Post also told Buzzfeed he “never thought” Dear “would do anything like that,” referring to Friday’s Planned Parenthood attack. “You never think your neighbor would do anything like that.”
Dear was the subject of at least nine investigations by law enforcement officials when he lived in North Carolina and South Carolina, before moving to Colorado.

Among Dear’s run-ins with the law are two charges of cruelty to animals – he was found not guilty via a bench trial – and accusations of “unwanted advances” and being a peeping tom.
Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers suggested Dear’s motive could be inferred based on “where it took place,” the AP this afternoon reports.
A local Gazette reporter this morning posted this tweet:
Just talked to @JohnSuthers. Said shooter a “misdirected. Idealog” #COSshooting
