Watch Live Now: Charlotte City Council Controversial LGBT Non-Discrimination Hearing
The Charlotte, North Carolina city council is just beginning its hearing of a proposed and controversial LGBT non-discrimination hearing. Watch live now.
Beginning right now the Charlotte City Council is hearing public input on a controversial LGBT non-discrimination hearing. There are 117 people signed up to speak, and each speaker has only two minutes to speak.
Outside for much of this afternoon have been hundreds of anti-LGBT activists and protestors, including David Benham and his anti-LGBT pastor father have been leading a rally to convince council members to vote against the measure.
QNotes editor Matt Comer, a North Carolina local, has been covering the bill in-depth for a long time, and he is actively tweeting his coverage today, as is Equality North Carolina.
