Listen: Audio From 5th Circuit Same-Sex Marriage Oral Arguments
This morning the 5th Circuit heard oral arguments from three same-sex marriage cases. You can too, here.
At 10:00 this morning, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals heard oral arguments from attorneys in marriage cases from three states: Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.
Journalists who were in attendance today predict the Court will overturn the marriage bans, but you can decide for yourself – at least until the ruling is handed down. There’s no timeline yet. It could be a week, a month, or even several, but given that the Supreme Court may also hear one of the same cases (Louisiana’s Robicheaux v. Caldwell,) it’s not unlikely we would see a decision sooner rather than later.
The audio is available at the 5th Circuit’s website, by case: Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.
Freedom to Marry is also generously posting the audio online, which is quite helpful as the 5th Circuit site seems to be overloaded.
Here’s Louisiana:

We’ll post the others as soon as they are available.Â
