‘What’s Wrong With Him?’: Lindsey Graham Buried by MSNBC’s Mika Over Latest Trump Defense

Reacting to Sen. Lindsey Graham’s response to questions about Donald Trump on Meet the Press on Sunday where he dismissed the former president’s comments about immigrants “poisoning” American blood, “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski pounced on the South Carolina Republican.
The show started out by playing clips of Graham telling MTP host Kristen Welker that Trump’s “poisoning the blood of our country” wasn’t important enough to even worry about while then adding, “You know, we’re talking about language. I could care less what language people use as long as we get it right.”
Brzezinski then addressed Graham directly.
“Well, you know what, Lindsey?” she stated while looking directly at the camera. “The language that he uses turns out to be what he does, so we’re not getting it right. I mean, what’s wrong with him? ‘I could care less’? That’s Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.”
“It’s pretty shocking,” co-host Joe Scarborough interjected to which Brzezinski replied, “He’s so scared.”
“Trump literally channeling Hitler, talking about poisoning the blood of America,” Scarborough mused. “Again, I always go back to that Iowa congressman [Steve King] the Republicans kicked out for saying far less than this.”
“We talk about Hitler, okay? You can say David Duke. It’s what the Klan always talked about,” he added. “And it is mainstreamed in the Republican party. Lindsey Graham says he doesn’t care, doesn’t care that Donald Trump is talking about, you know, he is using basically racist, fascist language.”
