White House Confirms Trump to Meet With Russian Foreign Minister Again To Discuss State of ‘Relationship’

“Russia is attacking our elections. Zelensky did not get a WH meeting — because he would not attack our elections.”

The White House Monday evening confirmed that President Donald Trump on Tuesday will meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov once again, a reprise of their infamous 2017 meeting during which Trump disclosed code word highly-classified intelligence with the top Russian official and the-Ambassador to the U.S.

“President Trump will meet with Secretary of State Michael Pompeo and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov of Russia tomorrow to discuss the state of the bilateral relationship,” an unnamed senior administration official says.

Former U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul notes that will be two Oval Office meetings for the Russian and zero for the President of Ukraine:

Others also noted the swipe at Zelenski, whose country is currently, literally at war with Russia over its illegal “annexation” of Crimea.

And as other experts, like the CNN national security analyst note, given that Russia attacked the U.S. during the election of 2016 and continues to this day to do so, Trump granting Russia another Oval Office meeting is stunning.
