CNN Delivers Scathing Response After White House Press Secretary Tries to Throw Shade

The White House blasted CNN for a mislabeled map on Thursday, after four days of President Donald Trump falsely insisting that Alabama had been in the path of Hurricane Dorian. Trump went so far as to doctor an official U.S. government weather map with a marker to make it appear he had not lied for days.

Trying to gain the upper hand, White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham posted a screenshot of CNN’s mislabeled map, tweeting caustically, “I know you guys are busy analyzing lines on a map, but perhaps you use your time to study up on U.S. geography?”

CNN’s Communications department didn’t wait long to respond – noting they corrected their mistake immediately, and suggesting the White House should try doing the same.

“Thanks, Stephanie. Yes, we made a mistake (which we fixed in less than 30 seconds). And now we are admitting it. You all should try it sometime.”
