‘Redacted to Shreds’: Internet Outraged as DOJ Says Version of Mueller Report Won’t Be Released Until Thursday
Social media sites are exploding in outrage as the Dept. of Justice minutes ago sought to head off speculation by announcing a redacted version of the long-awaited Mueller report now will not be released to Congress until Thursday. Early last week Attorney General William Barr promised it would be available within a week, leading many to speculate it would have been out this past Friday or today at the latest.
Of note, however, is that the DOJ will also release a version to the public on Thursday. It’s unclear currently if both versions will be the same.
On MSNBC former Assistant Director for Counterintelligence at the FBI, Frank Figluzzi, just said experts believe 50% – 70% of the report will be redacted.
And MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell notes the timing is curious, coming the day before Good Friday and Easter weekend.
Some responses:
Delay, delay, delay: Barr will release the redacted Mueller Report on Thursday morning

Barr’s version of the Mueller report is going to be coming out Thursday morning
We don’t know:
1. How much Barr will redact
2. What legal standards (if any) Barr is using to justify his redactions
3. How much Barr has consulted with the White House during the process

Per MSNBC: Barr to release his redacted cover-up version of the Mueller report to Congress and the public on Thursday.

FFS. This isn’t “the Mueller Report.”
Please, please, please figure out a way to distinguish Thursday’s redacted report from the actual, unredacted report that Mueller filed.
We already did this with the Barr Letter. Do not make the same exact mistake again. https://t.co/ztthT4mhSb

It will take Barr 4 full weeks to release Mueller’s report. Expect it to be redacted to shreds – we need to not let up one bit until the American people see the FULL report! https://t.co/RpO12f72IO

Ok, so the public and Congress will see the (redacted) Mueller report on Thursday morning.
When will the White House see it?
Or do they already have it?

For crying out loud: Seeing multiple media outlets and media people on Twitter announcing “the Mueller report being released on Thursday.” No. It is not. The redacted version from Barr is being released. This is the Barr letter all over again.
