Watch: Trump Labels Nearly Unanimous House Vote Condemning Hate and Bigotry ‘A Disgrace’

Falsely and Repeatedly Calls Democrats ‘Anti-Israel’ and ‘Anti-Jewish’

President Donald Trump says Thursday’s bipartisan and nearly unanimous vote passing a wide-ranging resolution condemning hate and bigotry “was a disgrace.”

“I thought yesterday’s vote by the House was disgraceful,” Trump said emphatically, almost as if he were reading from a script, “because the Democrats have become an anti-Israel party, they’ve become an anti-Jewish party, and I thought that vote was a disgrace – and so does everybody else, if you get an honest answer.”

The 7-page resolution, which passed 407-23, condemned anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim bigotry and hate, racism, white nationalism and white supremacism. It also condemned “bigotry against minorities as hateful expressions of intolerance that are contrary to the values and aspirations of the United States.”

“The Democrats have become an anti-Israel party and an anti-Jewish party,” Trump repeated (video below) as he exited to board Marine One on his way to a weekend of political fundraisers at Mar-a-Lago. He’ll stop first for a few hours in Alabama to view the devastation from several tornadoes.

Less than two years ago President this Trump called neo-Nazis, white nationalists, white supremacists and members of the alt-right “good people,” and laid blame for Charlottesville at the feet of “both sides.”

The only ones who voted against Thursday’s House resolution were 23 Republicans. Congressman Steve King (R-IA), a known racist and white nationalist, only voted “present,” bringing the total number of Republicans refusing to condemn hate and bigotry to 24.
