McConnell Says Senate Will Pass Resolution Blocking Trump’s ‘National Emergency’

Trump Has Said He Will Veto Measure
For more than two years President Donald Trump has never had to veto anything, thanks to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), who refuses to put to a vote any bill Trump does not want to sign.
Until now.
Thanks to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a resolution denouncing and blocking President Trump’s likely unconstitutional call of a national emergency to obtain billions in funding for his border wall passed the House, and the Senate, for technical reasons, is required to vote on it.
Majority Leader McConnell has just announced the Senate will vote on the resolution, and says it will pass, according to CNBC.
It sets up a possible veto from Trump, which Congress likely could not override. And while the courts may, it puts on record every Member of Congress, and weakens Trump.
