President Donald Trump is ignoring Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s strong suggestion President Donald Trump cannot deliver the State of the Union in the House of Representatives while he has shut down the federal government.
In a letter just sent to Speaker Pelosi, President Trump says, “I look forward to seeing you on the evening of January 29th in the Chamber of the House of Representatives.”
“It would be so very sad for our Country if the State of the Union were not delivered on time, on schedule, and very importantly, on location!”

The House and Senate must jointly pass a concurrent resolution to allow President Trump, or any President, to deliver the State of the Union in the House.
